The intention of this website was to provide information about my services as a designer and permit processing  consultant.  A good portion of my work  these days involves just that. Whatever talents I may bring to that work is based on experience gained during more than 25 years as a hands on tradesman and contractor.

Apple Renovations has been my business since 1986. From the beginning  we have stood out as one of the most successful  remodeling contractors in western Sonoma County.  While my work in design and consulting continues to grow my work as a contractor continues also.

Design & Planning
Contractors are sometimes left out of this most important phase of the project. Unfortunately this is an area where a good contractor can save you money and much aggravation. Along with consultation on the feasiblity of projects and the various altenatives, we provide help with permits and can often provide plans. We can deal with a difficult building department or government agency. Click back to the main page for information about this part of the process.

Custom Carpentry
Our strength here. All phases, rough, finish, framing, trim, cabinets, etc. We have been doing good carpentry for more years than anyone wants to remember.

Decks
Another strong area. Much experience with design. A beautiful redwood deck can define a home, but you know that already. We work with all alternative decking materials such as engineered decking  e.g. trex , pressure treated products, cedar, etc.

Additions, kitchens and baths.
We really would not be remodelers if we couldn't do these. And we have done a bunch.

House Lifts & Foundations
Since the 95 ' & 97 ' Russian River floods we lifted more houses than anyone in the area. After raising a home we install a  new or we will upgrade an existing foundation. We then complete the construction in of walls, decks and staircases. Experience is a big plus here and we have it. Please call us for a free consultation because this is an area where

Windows and skylights
We install new or replace existing. All types, doors and sliders too!

Wallboard
Hanging, taping, finishing. Repairs.

Tile, pavers and wood floorings.
Tubs, counters, floors. Part of that kitchen and bath experience.

Painting
Ok, we admit it, we hate to paint. But we know people who do like it and are good at it. We can bring them along if needed.

Electrical, Plumbing and Roofing
No need for subcontractors, we do this ourselves, and it costs a bit less that way.

Everything Else
New homes or an enclosed garage, barn or guest house remodels, dormers, granny units, etc. Installation of wood burning stoves, fireplaces, hot tubs and wall furnaces. Repairs from tenant damage to fire. A tree goes through the home or a landslide removed the garage? We are licensed and able to work on insurance repairs.

We can provide referrals on septic repairs and replacements, commercial electrical and plumbing, carpet and hardwood flooring, architects and engineers. When we don't know how to do something, we tell you and can help you find someone who does.
